Well that was a huge week and will just brag a little again, cos I really worked my butt off for this. I have just been accepted as a CMPro. (“CMpro is a women’s organization of professional photographers and highly skilled artists whose work demonstrates creativity, vision, and artistic and technical excellence. From child and family photographers to wedding photographers, senior photographers, fine art photographers, and beyond, CMpro is a community rich in talent and diversity.”
“The evaluation rubric is broken into seven categories with six levels in each category. A full breakdown of the rubric can be found in the pre-application package.
The rubric categories are:
- The Exposure Triangle
- Color and White Balance
- Use of Light
- Composition and Posing
- Processing Cohesion and Polish
- Technical (focus, DOF, etc)
- Creativity, Expression and Intention
The levels per category are:
- Beginning – 1
- Emerging – 2
- Developing – 3
- Capable – 4
- Experienced – 5
- Exceptional – 6
In order to be admitted to CMpro, applicants must meet two requirements:
- A minimum score of 4 points in the Exposure Triangle category and
- An overall score of 32 points, or higher, out of a possible 42 points.”
- Exposure Triangle: 5
- Color and White Balance: 5
- Use of Light: 6
- Composition and Posing: 5
- Processing Cohesion and Polish: 5
- Technical Basics (focus, DOF): 5
- Creativity, Expression and Intention: 5
