Perth Newborn Photographer | Baby Rory
I have had the great honour of photographing this gorgeous family since they were expecting their first little bundle of joy, Stevie, in August 2014. It feels like just yesterday, but your little bundles grow so quickly. Before we knew it we were doing her 6 month shoot and last year we did a beautiful family shoot. There is nothing more special than having families trust me time and again.

We just managed to squeeze their maternity portraits in as little Rory made a surprise early arrival. Watch out for another post about their very special maternity session.
WELCOME BABY RORY
I thought I would share a few helpful hints once again if you are considering a newborn session.
The thought of leaving the house with a newborn baby, especially if siblings are involved and being on time can be quite daunting. So here are 3 easy hints to help you make it through the day.
- RELAX and take a deep breath. Enjoy your baby, he/she will only be this small once. Tomorrow he will have grown and changed without you realizing. If he dirties his nappy as you are walking out the door and manages to soil all his clothes, take a deep breath, go back in and change him. Talk soothingly and lovingly to him all the while. A newborn session is nothing to stress about, you can sit, relax and read a magazine or book or simply watch me work with your baby. I’ve got this covered and I’m prepared for all types of babies. Some are more sleepy than others, don’t stress. Take a deep breath, I’ve got this covered for you. If your baby is truly miserable and uncomfortable we can re-schedule, but honestly I’ve only had to do this once.
2. PREPARE. If you can get the details like what to wear prepared before your newborn session – like maybe even before he arrives, you will feel less stressed on the day. Call me or email me a picture to discuss something if you are concerned. Lots of mummies send me pictures from the shops to ask if I think something will work. And if all else fails you can use one of my maternity gowns. If you let me know what colours you prefer, it also helps me plan your session before you arrive and that way we can get straight into it.
3. TRUST ME. I have been doing this for quite some time now and consider myself a bit of an expert, I will never put your baby in harm’s way. I want you to remember your newborn session as an enjoyable event, sometimes it can take some time to settle your bub, but trust me, the photos in the end will be worth it. After all, we want you to cherish these memories hanging on your walls for many years to come
