Newborn Photography| Perth & Perth Hills| By Channon Williamson

A beautiful, organic newborn photography session using brown tones and texture to highlight baby Heath’s  perfect newborn little features.

The most common question I get asked is, “What is the ideal time for newborn photography?” And I always recommend doing them when bub is between 5 and 14 days old. At this age they are still used to being curled up in the womb and enjoy the comfort of being wrapped tightly. They are also still so tiny and sleepy and far more easily molded into newborn poses. For many traditional newborn photography poses, we need bub to be fast asleep. I will never place your baby in danger and will never attempt something babies are not comfortable with. At around two weeks of age, babies go through a growth spurt and begin to wake up and it is far more difficult to achieve the newborn look. However, I am still happy to photograph your family and baby as a “newborn” session up to 3 weeks.
