Channon Williamson captures award winning images for local Perth families.
This gorgeous boy was so teeny tiny and I absolutely loved meeting him. I photographed their maternity maternity session a few months ago and his little brother was such a delight. You can see their maternity session HERE.
But I thought I would just share a little about what happens at newborn sessions. Newborn sessions are very hard work and they do not go quickly. Sometimes one gets lucky but I promise that is not the norm. So don’t be disheartened if you think your baby is the only difficult one in the world. I have photographed over 100 babies and maybe 5 have slept through their session. The rest have made me work my butt of.
Soon after this shot, Baby Cole became a little unsettled as he had to be changed (yes accidents are very common in newborn photography) , so we had to clean him up and move onto the next set of images. As you can imagine, this woke him up and he got a little cranky. Once bub’s wake up – it takes some comfort feeding and soothing to get them back to sleep. This can take anything from 15 minutes to an hour. And even then, sometimes they wake and startle easily again. So much of my sessions are spent soothing and swaddling your bub and slowly guiding them into position.
