2016 Journey | January 1 – January 5

My 2016 Journey is beginning. I feel like I’m not ready to give up just yet, so I hope you’ll join me for another 365. I found the best way to get through it is to not be too hard on myself and if I miss a day – to make it up the next day by photographing different subjects, or the same subject in a different way. I mean, it’s a massive commitment, and some days nothing will inspire you, there are days I felt like I had already photographed every single item in my house. When that happens I found choosing an object like an egg and challenging myself to shoot it 5 or 10 different ways helped so much. In the beginning I started with themes and you can always fall back on these if you need to. So please wish me luck as I do it all over again.

I started on the 1st of January and will continue weekly blogging with my circle of very talented ladies. Here is ALICIA’S week.

I love seeing your beautiful baby pics and then also looking out for your blog messages and 365 photos…keep up the good work…

I hope to be inspired by trying to see your 365 blog without fail whilst I’m lying down….waiting for my knee operation…so that afterwards I have the inspiration to pick up my cameras again and get posting.

    Have a wonderful 2016….

I”m so jealous that it is summer for you! It’s cold and rainy again today 🙁 Anyway…. I love what you said about pushing yourself to find objects in your home and shooting them from multiple angles! That’s a wonderful idea to help you grow!

Congrats on the 365, and I’m glad you’re continuing!
I love the sprinkler picture, I can’t believe it was warm enough, we had snow that day! Crazy! You caught the photo with a beautiful DOF. Really gorgeous.
The photo at the beach is beautiful, her skin is all glowy, and the movement in her hair is fantastic, I can’t wait to see next week’s photos!

Congrats on finishing your 365! It is such a wonderful feeling. I feel like I’m at the same place as you feeling like I need to just keep going. I love your challenge idea.
